Along with the under-the-hood evolution, the new graphical user interface of Windows 7 and the new boot screen are illustrative examples of how the early builds of Windows 7 are evolving past Vista. Fact is, that between Milestone 2 and Milestone 3 of the next iteration of the Windows client, the Redmond company has moved away from Windows Vista, as Windows 7 copies resemble less and less their precursor. Moving onward with the development of Windows 7 from the pre-Beta Build 6801 Milestone 3 stage, Microsoft has overhauled the boot screen of the operating system.
